Sonny Garguilo’s non aggressive training methods make him one
of the
countries leading Natural Horseman and problem solvers.
Sonny Garguilo Natural Horsemanship is based on opening the
line of communication between between horse and rider.
Having
the knowledge and patience to make what your asking of your
horse so very clear, that
the
horse does horse does not get frustrated and then
is willing to listen and learn. Also as a Natural
Horseman
Sonny
believes that there is that other side to training, without it
there is no communication, listening
to your horse. His Methods are simple and based
on common sense.

Angelo Telatin
Director
of Equine Studies programs
Delaware Valley College
"Theory without practice: useless. Practice without theory:
senseless"
In this clinic you will be able to
understand how you can better communicate with
your horse. You don't have to learn a new technique; your
preferred training methods will
be utilized to have a happy partner in whatever discipline you
chose from Dressage to jumping with the collar.
The Demo will show you how to start a
horse with a snaffle and end with jumping using the
collar. This demo shows you how to accomplish this combining
the classical
training technique
and the secret of a perfect communication
which is:
The interaction between Language and Learning Psychology
All the Horsemanship training
techniques, even the most modern, give you a series
of exercises to do to peruse any type of training.
To be successful, since the act of
training is the same regardless the the type of horsemanship
used, it is important to focus not on the exercises used, but
to understand why and how they work before trying to replicate
them. A training system consists of three things:
1) a teacher that conveys the message
(You )
2) a language that both understand (
Body language and the Aids)
3) a receiver that gets the message you
send (the horse) With the moment of comprehension where the
message is understood. (Learning)
The Language is used to convey the
message. The horse's learning structure is use
to shape the messege to be sent
Italian-born Angelo
Telatin,, is the Director of Equine Studies programs at
Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania,
and has recently become the 65th British Horse
Society (BHS) Fellow in the world — the
highest accolade of equestrian professionalism.
The qualification, only
awarded to those considered to be reliable ambassadors of the
sport, is described by the BHS as "the jewel in your
equestrian crown".
Angelo holds a degree
from Padua University in Italy in Equine Behavior where his
thesis was in The Comparison between Training Technique and
the Psychology of Learning.
Angelo has a unique
perspective on teaching students and training horses because
of his rich background in the two fields. He has a natural
ability and understanding of the
horse, but also the academic backing to support it. His
students can learn from his past
experience, but they are also able to tap into the vast
knowledge he has acquired through his
studies.
